When we talk about showbiz, we often celebrate the stars we see on screen. But rarely do we turn our attention to the stars in the making—those who are on the path, quietly shaping their craft with perseverance and passion.
One such rising star is Hammad Razzaq Chadhar, a name that is quickly gaining recognition in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Though an IT graduate by education, Hammad chose an unconventional path. He began his professional journey in the media world, working as a news anchor at a reputed news channel in Lahore. But it wasn’t long before he discovered his true calling—acting. Following his passion, Hammad made the bold decision to leave behind a stable media career and immerse himself in the world of theatre.
He joined the renowned Ajoka Theatre and later studied Theatre at NCA Lahore, polishing his skills and preparing himself for the bigger stage. His first notable on-screen performance came through the video song Sakal Ban, opposite Ayesha Ghaffar, produced by Dot 9 Studio. With his commanding presence and classic hero looks, he left a mark.
Hammad then shifted to Karachi—the heart of Pakistan’s entertainment industry—where his timeless appearance and disciplined theatre background caught the eye of director Saife Hassan. This led to his television debut in the acclaimed HUM TV drama Tan Man Neel o Neel, produced by Sultana Siddiqui and written by Mustafa Afridi.
In this drama, Hammad portrayed the young version of Ehsaan (originally played by Noman Masood). The role was complex—part hero, part antagonist—as the drama explored Ehsaan’s past. Hammad’s performance was met with praise from critics and audiences alike. He was especially appreciated on the drama review show "Kya Drama Hai" hosted by Muakarram Kaleem, where his presence was acknowledged, and industry legend Atiqa Odho praised his classical aura and screen appearance. Social media also buzzed with appreciation, with the popular page Film Waly highlighting his talent.
Currently, Hammad is working in Shirin Farhad, another period drama where he plays a supporting role. He has also been cast as the young version of Noman Ijaz in an upcoming Green TV project, which is yet to be aired.
There is a growing excitement around Hammad Razzaq Chadhar’s journey. His story is one of bold choices, tireless effort, and artistic ambition. As a trained theatre actor, he aims to bring intensity and depth to every role, seeking out performances that challenge him and elevate Pakistani television.
The journey of this emerging star is a testament to hope, struggle, and self-belief. We look forward to witnessing more of his brilliance in the years to come.
