In Pakistan, we understand the value of "power" very well. When the electricity goes out during load-shedding, everything stops. Your expensive air conditioner, your fast Wi-Fi router, and your heavy factory machines become completely useless. They look impressive, but without the unseen electric current running through them, they are just dead pieces of metal and plastic.

Today, we are going to explore a deeply powerful Name of Allah: Al-Muqtadir (The Creator of All Power, The Omnipotent). We will also learn about the high spiritual rank of Abdul Muqtadir (The Servant of the Omnipotent). Understanding this Name completely shifts how you view success, struggle, and the reality of power in this world.
Who is Al-Muqtadir?
Allah is Al-Muqtadir. This means He is the One who creates all power, and He has absolute, total control over all power.
Because He has total power, He is able to create whatever He wills. More importantly, He puts into His creation whatever amount of power He wants.
Look at yourself. Look at your hands, your eyes, and your brain. Without the unseen energy that comes directly from your Creator, you are completely lacking. By yourself, you are unable. You are in total need. But if Allah gives you the power and enables you, the impossible becomes possible.
Spiritual teachings give a beautiful example: If Allah wills it, a tiny ant can move a mountain.
Power is not about physical size. Power is simply a gift bestowed by Al-Muqtadir. He grants energy to things on earth and in the heavens, and He uses them according to His perfect wisdom.
The Illusion of Human Invention
We live in a very arrogant age. When we achieve something, we quickly take all the credit.
A businessman sets up a massive pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. He uses complex formulas and high-tech machinery. He looks at his factory and says, "I built this empire". A software developer creates a brilliant digital platform for O and A Level students. He looks at his code and says, "I invented this".
We even use the word "creator" for ourselves. We call ourselves "content creators" or "inventors". We say that human beings have great power.
But spiritual reality tells us a humbling truth. Human beings can neither invent nor create.
This might sound strange, but think deeply. When a person discovers a new medicine, did they create the chemical elements? No. The carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen were already there. Did they create the human brain that figured out the formula? No.
Allah causes a thing to happen, and He simply leads a person to discover something that has already been created.
It is always Allah who creates, even if sometimes it looks like it is coming from His creatures. We are just the delivery boys. We are just rearranging the raw materials that Al-Muqtadir has provided. Once you realize this, your ego breaks, and true humility begins.
How Al-Muqtadir Allocates Power
If all power belongs to Allah, why are some people strong and others weak? Why do some businesses succeed while others fail?
Al-Muqtadir distributes power perfectly according to His divine plan.
If He wills, He strengthens the weak and weakens the strong.
Have you ever seen a massive, powerful corporation go bankrupt overnight because of a tiny unseen virus? Have you ever seen a small, poor student from a village clear a difficult exam and rise to the top, while a wealthy student fails? This is Al-Muqtadir at work.
He controls the hearts of men. If He wills, He makes people love each other and live in peace. And if He wills, He removes that mercy, and they start fighting each other. Everything is tied to His command.
The Test of the Good Servants vs. The Tyrants
Al-Muqtadir handles different types of people in completely different ways:
1. The Well-Intentioned Servants: If you are trying to do good in society—maybe you are running a business with honest intentions, or trying to provide affordable education—Allah becomes your Helper. He gives you ease in your difficult tasks. He gives you deep wisdom to make the right decisions. He blesses you with patience, perseverance, and inner strength.
2. The Tyrants and the Arrogant: But what about the corrupt politicians, the cruel bosses, and the arrogant people who seem so successful? Spiritual insight shares a terrifying truth. For the tyrants, Allah increases their heedlessness (gaflat). He increases their blind ambition, their worldly pleasures, and their fake self-confidence.
They think they are winning. They think their power is growing. But actually, Al-Muqtadir is just giving them a longer rope. When the time is up, Allah manifests His Name Al-Muqtadir along with two other terrifying Names:
Al-Qahhar: The Supreme over all forces.
Ash-Shadeed: The One who is severe in punishment.
When He steps in to defend the righteous and destroy His enemies, no worldly power, no bank account, and no army can stop Him. All human powers are strictly limited and controlled by the Giver of power.
How to Attract the Ultimate Power
As human beings, we all want power. We want the power to pass our exams, the power to heal our sickness, and the power to succeed in our careers.
But instead of chasing the creation, a faithful person knows that all power comes from Al-Muqtadir alone. So, how do you get this power? You don't get it by fighting the world. You get it by submitting to the Creator.
The formula is incredibly simple but deep: You gain true power by obeying Him, by loving Him, and by fearing Him.
When you truly submit your heart to Allah, an invisible energy surrounds you. No earthly force can overcome that power. There is a beautiful spiritual law mentioned in the traditional wisdom:
All love the one who loves Allah. All fear the one who fears Allah.
When your heart fears the Creator, the creation naturally starts to respect and fear you. When your heart loves the Creator, He puts your love into the hearts of the people on earth. You don't need a massive marketing campaign to win hearts; Al-Muqtadir does it for you naturally.
The Etiquette of Victory
What happens when Al-Muqtadir blesses you with success?
Maybe your business hits a record profit. Maybe your digital learning platform reaches thousands of students. Maybe you finally launch that new product you worked so hard on.
When a person receives the help of Allah and becomes victorious, the ego tries to take over. You want to show off. You want to look down on your competitors. But spiritual guidance warns us clearly: Do not become spoiled and self-confident.
The moment you think "I did this because I am smart", you are inviting your own downfall.
On the contrary, a true believer shows thankfulness actively.
How do you show active thankfulness?
By repenting: Asking forgiveness for your mistakes and the hidden pride in your heart.
By being just: Treating your employees, your customers, and your family with absolute fairness.
By being generous: Sharing your wealth and knowledge with those who have less.
By being compassionate: Showing mercy even to your enemies and competitors.
This is the true character of a winner in Islam.
Who is Abdul Muqtadir?
Now we look at the highest level of this reality. Who is the servant known as Abdul Muqtadir?
This is not an ordinary title. Abdul Muqtadir is a servant upon whom Allah has bestowed a very heavy and beautiful knowledge. This person is shown the secret of the First Act of Creation.
What was this first act? It was the creation of the primary intelligence, the spiritual light known as the "Noor-e-Muhammadi" (The Light of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). From this pure, original light, all other created existence in the universe was generated.
When an Abdul Muqtadir understands this deep spiritual reality, they see the interconnectedness of all things. They realize that the core of the entire universe is based on love, light, and the absolute power of the Creator. They walk on this earth with extreme humility, knowing they are just a tiny reflection of a massive Divine Plan.
A Spiritual Practice for a Successful Day
We all struggle with our daily routines. We wake up feeling tired. We forget important things. We face massive tasks at the office or difficult subjects at school, and we feel like we don't have the mental energy to solve our problems.
