No Place For Journalism

The report released by the International federation of journalists is a negative indication for a Pakistani nation. According, to this report Pakistan is among the five nations considered the most dangerous countries for practice of journalism in the world.

There may be many forms where the journalists are captured and blackmailed, that includes murder, assault, censorship and threats. Worryingly, situation is if this process persistently continues against journalists no one will be pursuing his/her profession honestly. Moreover, Assassinations and abductions day after day shows that the state is failed to protect the media workers who are the source of deprived and hopeless people of our society.

If state can not do anything to curb those conspiracies which are being applied to shut down the voice of journalists, it will be heinous for all. Likewise, continuing this will result the disappearances of truth from society. Likewise, there will be no reason behind to expect that lives of common people are safe and satisfy.

The state should adopt some appropriate steps for the safety of lives of journalists. Otherwise both Truth and truth protector would disappear from the society. The state should prevail freedom of writing and speech which prime minister Imran khan had been claimed before coming to power.
