When we were kids on Eid the best thing for me was the distribution of food e.g vermicelli and meat among the all neighbours, usually we never went to our neighbor's home but on Eid we specially went to their houses and distributed the meat.
Our house is interlinked with two towns, on one side Muslims live and on the other side Christians, even in front of our back-door their is a church, we go for visit.
We celebrate our occasions with both sides in peace, from childhood I was seeing that my mother sent gifts, fruits and food in both sides equally. She actually created the trend in city in a new town where people usually stay away from others, we also don't go but on special events from both sides, a series of distribution carry on whole the day which is love.
The best for me was, the smile that they gave when I bring the food to their homes and now my little cutee sister goes and distribute and we help her.
On this Eid Ul Azha, we slaughter our beloved animals in the name of Allah and distribute the meat among the family, friends and the needy and refresh the remembrance of Hazrat Ibrahim's sacrifice.
This Eid inserts the passion of sacrifice among the Muslims for the other human beings through the sacrifice of beloved animals and distribution of food among the needy which connects us all with each other.
In our religion the meat we get from animals has three parts one for your own family, one for relatives and neighbours and the 3rd one is for the needy and the poor which we have to distribute whole the day among them.
Then we also have parties where we invite our family and friends and cherish the taste of amazing food items with them. Where everybody puts aside the disputes and shares the happiness with others. This Eid give the message of love peace, sacrifice, sharing, caring and forgiveness.
